2024 LAUTUM Award Winner Tony Koehler

Normal, IL – Tony Koehler was honored with the prestigious LAUTUM Award at the 143rd Annual Convention of the Illinois Association of Mutual Insurance Companies (IAMIC) in August 2024.   Tony is currently the manager of Western Illinois Mutual in Carthage, IL.

Tony's nomination for the LAUTUM Award was a testament to his role as a resource, a leader, and an inspiration to his peers. His influence and inspiration have been felt across the industry.

Tony is active in IAMIC on many levels. He has served as Chair of the Board of Directors, after serving three years as a board member,  showcasing his leadership skills. Tony has also chaired the Government Relations Committee and the Convention Committee and is an active participant in education, social media, and public relations committees.

Tony’s dedication to the association and industry is truly inspiring. His frequent trips to Washington, D.C., to represent IL mutuals and his regular attendance at IAMIC educational events are testament to this. One of his peers said, “Tony has been an exceptional representative for IAMIC when I have known him. He is a kind, generous, knowledgeable, and reputable representative for everything IAMIC stands for.”

The LAUTUM Award, which Tony received, is a symbol of strength, dedication, leadership, commitment, integrity, and honor. It originated in 1972 as a measure of recognition for outstanding individual contributions to the community, the association, and the mutual insurance industry. The award is presented to individuals who have earned the respect and esteem of their colleagues, and Tony's receipt of this award is a testament to his exceptional contributions.

The Illinois Association of Mutual Insurance Companies is a trade association comprised of farm mutual insurance companies. Like the farming industry, mutual insurance has been a part of the Illinois landscape for well over a century.  IAMIC provides member companies with educational opportunities, professional development, legislative support, and industry recognition.
