2016 Volunteer of the Year Award WinnerDan Young Named 2016 Volunteer of the Year
East Peoria, Ill.— Dan Young, Central Illinois Mutual Insurance Company, was recognized on Monday, August 22, as this year's recipient of the Illinois Association of Mutual Insurance Companies' (IAMIC) Volunteer of the Year Award. The award presentation took place during the 135th annual IAMIC convention at the Embassy Suites Hotel, East Peoria, IL. The Volunteer of the Year Award originated in 2005 as a means to recognize those individuals who generously donate their time to the success of the association. The Volunteer of the Year Award is presented to a person who serves as an example of volunteer commitment and leadership. Young has been busy making successful changes within his own office while sharing his time and talent with his peers, especially his IAMIC TEAM. He truly reflects professionalism and integrity in our industry and has been a huge resource for many of the Mutuals as well as his own board. Over the last two years – this Volunteer has been helping IAMIC redesign our Mutual Assistance Manual, a document that will be beneficial to every mutual regardless of size or number of employees. Young has chaired this task force and has spent countless hours holding on location meetings, webinars, and phone conferences along with numerous emails; gathering documents and putting together this resource. He also serves on the board of directors and has served on numerous committees for our Association. The Illinois Association of Mutual Insurance Companies is a trade association comprised of farm mutual insurance companies. Mutual insurance, like the farming industry, has been a part of the Illinois landscape for well over a century. IAMIC provides member companies with the educational opportunities, professional development, legislative support, and industry recognition. |
